Adoration means a deep devoted love, respect, and strong admiration for our Lord Jesus Christ. It signifies a profound emotional connection that we have with Him. The Lord created us for Himself and He loves us so much and longs for us to love Him back.
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind” Mathew 22:37
Do we take the time to show Him how much we love him? I know when I am spending time alone with Him, I am usually praying for people or asking for help instead of just being with Him and expressing how much I love Him. It is difficult to sit in the presence of our Lord and simply adore Him for who He is and what He has done for us.
“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” John 3:23-24
Adoration also means to praise and worship Him, but to adore Him goes much deeper. To truly worship and adore Him, we must humble ourselves and surrender every part of our lives to Him. He is your counselor and guide in this process, but relationships go both ways. Take time regularly to sit in His presence. Tell Him how you feel and then sit quietly in the majesty and glory of who He is and what He has done for you.
